Please see the Video CD-ROM Requirements page |

| Q: |
I put the CD into my computer and nothing happens? |
| A: |
In rare instances the autorun program may fail to initiate the CD-ROM on the system. Opening the root directory on the CD-ROM will show a file labeled "Start" among the listed files and folders. Double-click on this file to initiate the CD-ROM and the video. |

| Q: |
The CD start tool opens up on my PC system, but when I select "Start Video" nothing happens? |
| A: |
The CD-ROM and its mutli-media applications hinge on Microsoft technologies. Internet Explorer 5 or 6 must be set as the default browser for proper viewing of the video. This can be changed temporarily by going through the Start button to the Control Panel and then to Internet Settings. There in the Programs tab select the box that says "Check to see whether Internet Explorer is the default browser." Then activate the video. After you are done viewing the video, simply return to the same setting and uncheck the box.

| Q: |
On my Windows PC, I get the Competitive Boathandling Player open and hear sound but no video? |
| A: |
A: 2 possibilities. First, Windows Media Player sometimes needs to install special codecs for rendering video that are not provided in that operating system, Windows 98 particularly. The program will automatically acquire and install those missing components when a file requiring them is activated. However, some users elect to disable this function in the installation process for understandable reasons of privacy. The codecs can be downloaded (.5MB) from the Windows Media Download site. The file is entitled "Codecs download package", or you can simply email us at info@boathandling.net for the proper software, which we will return to you as an attachment.
The Second possibility is that a driver update is required on your system. This is common, since most computers which are released with the latest tricks often require some tweaking as the manufacturer learns more about the product. This can easily be determined through a Microsoft Windows Update, which will list all software updates available for your system. |

| Q: |
Why does the video stutter as it plays? |
| A: |
Check the CD-ROM speed of the computer you are using. Because of the high data-rate necessary to produce video of this kind, the CD-ROM read speed must equal or exceed 16X for operation of the video. |

| Q: |
Does the Competitive Boathandling CD-ROM work in a DVD player or a VideoCD player? |
| A: |
Because the Competitive Boathandling Series is built on a web foundation with online and offline content, the product is intended for use with home computers so that the user experiences all of the features rather than only a few as they would if the product were DVD or VideoCD based and activated on a TV based system. The video will operate on a DVD-ROM system that reads CD-ROMs and meets all other operational requirements. |
