Competitive Melges²⁴ Boathandling

Competitive Melges²⁴ Boathandling focuses on the International Melges²⁴ which has fast become the benchmark for prowess in the sport-boat category. Raced by teams of four or five, this fleet has dictated how tactics and boathandling should be handled in a sport-boat using and asymmetrical spinnaker.

The instructional video content covers the use of weight and sails in every aspect of boathandling around the course. Chapters include: Key Boat Characteristics, Tacking, Gybing, Sets and Douses. This video was shot on location with Harry Melges during his 2002 World Championship victory in Travemünde, Germany.
